ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP):Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Punjab La
nd and Revenue Authority (PLRA) signed accords for digitization of land record in the federal capital.
Under these agreements, all sites in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) will be digitized within three months, with 25 ICT sites set to go live by August 14, 2024.
According to CDA spokesperson, the PLRA
will undertake the digitization of 130,000 la
nd and property files of the CDA. Out of these, 20,000 files will be digitized by the same August
deadline.
The complete digitization of CDA’s la
nd and property files was expected to be accomplished within four months.
Furthermore, GIS mapping of all files and properties will be implemented, accompanied by the creation of a comprehensive project management system.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “This is an important step towards ma
king Islamabad a smart city according to the vision of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the instructions of the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the Punjab La
nd and Revenue Authority for their support in this endeavor.
